Culture and Leisure Department Job Description: Librarian with Program Development Responsibilities About Us: The Culture and Leisure Department is responsible for creating a rich cultural and recreational life in Södertälje Municipality. We manage libraries, cultural schools, art galleries, youth leisure activities, sports facilities, Torekällberget, and outdoor recreation. Södertälje's library system consists of two units: the City Library with the target-specific TIO14 library, and Area Libraries comprising branch libraries in Hovsjö, municipal district libraries in Järna, Hölö, Mölnbo, and Enhörna, plus a mobile library. Your Responsibilities: We are seeking a librarian passionate about promoting reading and public education through program activities. You will: - Plan and partially manage program activities at the city library - Coordinate planning and development for all libraries - Currently offer expert lunches, author visits, film clubs, workshops, holiday activities, and children's theater - In 2026, Södertälje Municipality will be designated as a Cultural Year, with libraries playing a key role Specific Tasks: - Plan, book, and implement program activities - Market program offerings - Staff scheduling and other standard library duties Who We're Looking For: A dynamic professional who is creative, driven, and structured, seeking a varied and engaging role where no two days are alike.
