Åre Municipality is a Sami administrative municipality, and we welcome applicants who have linguistic and cultural knowledge of Sami. **JOB DESCRIPTION** The Åre Libraries consist of the main library in Järpen, branches in Hallen, Åre, Duved, Kall, and Mörsil, and provide school library services to the municipality's primary schools and preschools. We at Åre Libraries are a team of about 10 people, working together to create accessible libraries that are safe meeting places with an attractive range of media and activities. One of our stars is on leave for studies, and we are now looking for a substitute! You will primarily work at the library in Mörsil with branch responsibilities, purchasing and weeding, staffing the information desk, and keeping the library space interesting and relevant through displays and book exhibitions. Here, you will work closely with the school librarian. The position also includes staffing at the library in Åre with shared branch responsibilities, as well as work at the main library in Järpen. You will have scheduled shifts at the above libraries, with some evening and weekend work included. This is a varied and dynamic job that suits you if you prioritize the needs of visitors, are an initiative-taking and flexible opportunity creator, while also being structured and meticulous. Selection and interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis, so please submit your application as soon as possible. **QUALIFICATIONS** Qualifications required for the position: • Degree in Library and Information Science or education deemed equivalent by the employer • Good digital competence, ability to express yourself in Swedish both verbally and in writing • B driver's license and access to a car Meritorious: • Experience in outreach library work, educational work, or service in another context We place great emphasis on personal qualities and are looking for someone who is structured and service-oriented. You have the ability to work independently, collaborate easily, and are good at building connections.
