About this role

Do you want to become part of a growing unit on an island that offers both opportunities and challenges? We are seeking soldiers and officers for the P 18 Guard Company. About the Unit The P 18 Guard Company is responsible for operations and security at the sites belonging to the Armed Forces within Gotland County. We are organized into two guard platoons, one operational platoon, and one military police troop. We are primarily looking for security soldiers for the guard platoons, but we are also seeking operational soldiers and military police. Main Responsibilities Working as a soldier (GSS/K) in the Guard Company primarily involves engaging in active operations. It also includes further training in various areas, mainly related to security/operations. Your employment may require being on standby for several consecutive days or for extended periods at all hours of the day. You will serve on a shift basis in security duties, which means you will sleep on-site during your shifts. The position demands both physical and mental performance capabilities, hence training is a part of your daily routine (at least 3 hours per week). We place high demands on security awareness and integrity. Much of the work is subject to confidentiality both within Sweden and NATO as a whole. Travel for work may occur, primarily within Sweden. The operations take place outside regular working hours and involve work during evenings/nights and weekends.
