About this role

At the Swedish Migration Agency, we work with one of the major societal issues of our time – migration. We are a total of approximately 6,000 individuals, and we have an unusually important job! We are seeking decision-makers for citizenship assessments in Norrköping. Here, you will work with pressing societal issues that are influenced by events in our surroundings. These are issues that resonate and engage. We offer a dynamic work environment where continuous improvement and interaction with people are at the forefront. What does a decision-maker do? As a decision-maker, you provide support and develop your colleagues in legal application, subject matters, and investigative methodology. You identify and analyze areas for development and propose improvement suggestions. On behalf of the unit, you gather and maintain knowledge and monitor standards, guidelines, and practices. You process, investigate, and decide on cases based on laws and regulations. The decisions you make have legal implications for individuals and affect their entitlements, rights, and obligations. You handle appeals and follow up on cases related to presentations to ensure high legal quality. Your tasks include conducting confidentiality assessments before information is disclosed and administering records and documents in cases. You also work to guide and provide service to individuals who have cases with the Migration Agency and other stakeholders with various inquiries. Who are you? We are looking for someone with strong collaboration skills, who is attentive and resolves conflicts in a constructive manner. You take responsibility for your tasks and independently drive your processes forward. Furthermore, you have an understanding of how individuals absorb knowledge and the different circumstances of people. You work well with complex issues, make quick decisions, and act on them despite limited information or difficult circumstances. You demonstrate good judgment under time pressure. Finally, you are meticulous and place great emphasis on meeting goals and quality standards. In our work as civil servants, there are also high demands for judgment and a strong awareness of security and confidentiality. You, who are applying, have: - An academic background of at least 120 credits with a legal, social science, economic, or behavioral science orientation, or other education combined with relevant experience applicable to the role - Recent experience in processing qualified administrative legal matters - Recent experience in case management according to applicable legislation - Good knowledge of the Administrative Procedure Act and the Citizenship Act - Strong communication skills and express yourself well in both spoken and written Swedish and English - Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite - Swedish citizenship It is an advantage if you have: - Experience in conveying knowledge within legal application - Experience with a coaching approach - Experience in handling immigration cases - Experience in assessing applications and notifications for Swedish citizenship at the Migration Agency The positions will be classified in a security classification. A security screening with background checks according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) will be conducted. As a result, Swedish citizenship is required. Employment is contingent upon a successful security screening.
