Inspection Technician

We at Bilprovningen are now seeking more employees for our station in Uppsala! Vehicle inspection is our core business, and in the role of Inspection Technician, you will inspect vehicles and verify that they meet established safety requirements. Inspections are performed independently or together with your colleagues at the station, and you will have access to technical aids, computer equipment, measuring instruments, and tools. Our customers visit us from early morning until afternoon, and during certain periods customer flow can be especially high or low, which requires a strong sense of service and flexibility since our goal is to help all customers. This also means that we support each other when needed, and you may be loaned to work at other stations in the same region and in some cases throughout the country. As we strive to be accessible and adaptable to our customers, we are also open on certain weekend days each month. Who are you? To thrive as an inspection technician, we believe you are service-oriented and stimulated by meeting people. You are a responsible person driven by doing a good job and collaborating with others. When meeting customers, you are informative, friendly, attentive, and trustworthy. We seek someone with a completed high school education. A Class B driver's license (Manual) is a requirement; having a Class C license is highly meritorious. Already having K1 inspection authorization is a clear advantage. We inspect light and heavy vehicles as well as motorcycles and welcome interest in certifying across these vehicle classifications. You need to have some vehicle knowledge; knowing what you're working with and the names of different vehicle parts is important to perform well and answer customer questions. You should be able to meet our customers humbly and communicate clearly when providing various types of information, as we work with safety, so it is crucial that you feel comfortable communicating freely. Language skills beyond Swedish are meritorious but not required. What do we offer you? We offer a good introduction and personalized training. Immediately after completing training, you will take a test to become a certified inspection technician. Studies are conducted full-time north of Stockholm and adapted to your existing knowledge.
