The position is located at the Preparedness Unit of the Management and Operations Support Department.
The unit consists of 18 employees working with various local, regional, and central actors to create a safe and secure society. The County Administrative Board is the geographically responsible authority and the highest civil total defense authority in the county. Through its activities, the County Administrative Board aims to contribute to strengthened total defense, reduce societal vulnerability, ensure that risk and preparedness considerations are taken in social planning, and develop a good ability to handle its tasks during peacetime crisis situations and heightened alert.
Together with other actors, we will create preparedness to manage situations that arise before, during, and after an emergency and, ultimately, war.
Work Tasks
Being a preparedness administrator with us means working on varying tasks that all contribute to increasing both the agency's internal and the county's total preparedness and capability. The unit's needs, your competence, experience, and ability will be guiding.
As an administrator focusing on supply preparedness, you will specifically work to:
- Plan and implement supply preparedness
- Collaborate with representatives from industry, state, municipalities, and region in this area
- Contribute to development within the total defense area to provide support and knowledge externally and internally
The position will also include general administration at the County Administrative Board with close cooperation with the Rural Development Department.
Based on the County Administrative Board's task during crises and heightened alert to immediately have the ability to establish a management function, you as a preparedness administrator must be prepared to be part of the County Administrative Board's war and crisis organization.
Qualifications
We believe you have:
- Relevant university education and several years of work experience, or equivalent competence acquired otherwise. Relevant work experience from the public sector is meritorious.
- Good ability and experience to independently and together with other administrators within and outside the agency drive processes in the area
- Good ability to develop and communicate knowledge about total defense and preparedness issues with actors in the field
- Good Swedish language skills, both verbal and written
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
- B driver's license
It is meritorious if you have:
- Knowledge and/or work experience in total defense and security work
- Work experience with business issues, work with food strategies, knowledge of supply preparedness flows, and understanding of agricultural and rural conditions

Conditions
This is a permanent full-time position. Start date by agreement. We typically apply a 6-month probationary period for our permanent positions.
The position is placed in a security class, therefore Swedish citizenship is a requirement. A security review will be conducted before employment decision.
