With us, you will have the opportunity to work on everything from concept analyses for future aircraft engines to maintenance issues in current engines. Additionally, we continuously develop our methods, technologies, and tools where you can make an important contribution. Your tasks will include: • Modeling and simulation of complex geometries in heat transfer calculations, manual calculations, etc. • Performing thermal and network analysis (secondary air) of engines and engine components • Developing and implementing our analysis methods and internal modeling tools for thermal loads (Python, MATLAB) • Supporting the design team to optimize products to defined program goals • Establishing loads to be used as input in structural analyses • Method and technology development • Validation/correlation of calculation models against reality • Validation of methods and component design through testing, measurement instrument definition, test support, and data analysis • Representing the company in collaboration with academic and/or industrial partners #LI-DNI Your Profile To be successful in this role, we expect you to have a few years of experience in similar areas of responsibility. Fundamentally, we believe you have a master's degree in aerospace engineering, engineering physics, mathematics, or another relevant engineering education, or equivalent knowledge gained through experience. Since the position involves interfaces both internally and externally, you should be fluent in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing. As a person, you are well-organized and quality-conscious while being able to work proactively and independently. You have good collaborative skills and thrive in interaction with colleagues both within the team and across different functions. Of course, you have a genuine interest in jet engines and thermodynamics and are attracted by the opportunity to develop long-term with GKN. Application Procedure In this recruitment, GKN Aerospace is collaborating with Skill. The position is a consulting assignment where you will initially be employed by Skill with opportunities for transition to GKN.
