Your future tasks
Before your hourly employment, you will receive both theoretical and practical training to ensure you feel comfortable with your tasks. The tasks vary depending on the workplace and sector, but in all cases, you work to create a positive and secure everyday life for the individuals we support.
Elderly care:
Here, you will provide support and assistance to individuals over 65 years old.
- Assisted living: In our care and dementia facilities, you will help residents with care, medication, and everyday chores. The work involves supporting those tasks that the individuals can no longer manage on their own, such as dressing, hygiene, or meals. You will collaborate with colleagues while also taking initiative.
- Home care: In home care, you will work in the client's home, providing both personal care and assistance with daily chores according to an established assistance plan. The work is often independent, where you complete your tasks according to the day’s schedule. It is a dynamic role where you will work individually and collaborate with colleagues to achieve common goals. In some teams, a B driver's license is required, while it is not necessary in others.
Social care:
Here, you will work with individuals with various disabilities who receive assistance under the LSS framework:
- Group homes: Here, you will work with individuals who require staff to be present around the clock. The residents live in apartments clustered around a common space. Your tasks include providing personal care, assistance with daily chores, and support in the individuals' activities and leisure interests.
- Service apartments: Here, you will work with individuals who manage part of their daily life independently but need support when necessary. The residents live in their own apartments and have access to shared services. You will help with day-to-day tasks such as cooking, laundry, and care, as well as support with leisure interests and activities.
The role also entails
When you work as a substitute in our services, your working hours will vary. Some days you will start early in the morning, while other days you may start later in the day and finish later in the evening. Our services require staff around the clock, so weekend work is also included. We are also looking for individuals interested in working awake night shifts and on-call duty in our services. When you work evenings, weekends, and nights, you will receive additional compensation on your hourly wage.
Your work will also include some administrative tasks in the form of documentation of the residents’ assistance. This will be done digitally. In the Municipality of Finspång, we apply smoke-free working hours.
Who are you?
We are looking for someone who is service-oriented and has an interest in helping others. You work well with colleagues, are calm and stable, have self-awareness, and show personal maturity in your work. As a substitute, you will be booked for shifts during the absence of regular staff, so you need to be flexible and prepared to work at short notice.
Requirements for the position:
- You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
- You also need to have good computer skills and experience with computer use.
- You must be at least 18 years old when the employment begins. This is necessary for you to be able to perform tasks according to LSS, SoL, and delegated tasks under HSL.
A driver’s license and relevant education in healthcare and social care are advantageous but not a requirement. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
