About this role

The Swedish National Board of Institutional Care (SiS) is an authority responsible for individually tailored compulsory care for young people with complex psychosocial issues and for adults with substance abuse. SiS also implements closed youth care. We do this in youth homes and facilities for adults with substance abuse across the country. At SiS, your work life becomes an exciting challenge. Regardless of where you work in our organization or what position you hold, you contribute to creating life-changing transformations. SiS Youth Home Rebecka receives non-school-attending girls with psychosocial issues as well as criminal behavior and substance abuse. Job Description We offer an interesting and pleasant workplace with varied and stimulating tasks. As a treatment secretary, you are an active part of the dynamic work with target group assessments by conducting structured risk, needs, and receptiveness assessments. You are also responsible for ensuring that the young people receive the appropriate interventions in accordance with the assignment, developing treatment plans, and working to involve the young person in their treatment. The treatment secretary follows up on treatment goals and oversees the documentation of the interventions. The treatment secretary convenes and leads meetings regarding the young person's placement and plays a central role in guiding the work with care interventions. The work is carried out in collaboration with the social services of the placing municipalities and the institution's various expert functions, such as psychologists, teachers, special educators, nurses, and treatment pedagogues. An important part of your role includes providing supervision and coaching for treatment staff in their daily work and ensuring that documentation is conducted in accordance with guidelines. The work is varied and requires flexibility and a sense of responsibility. This means that you need to be structured, meticulous, and organized. You understand the value and context of collaboration, and it comes naturally to you to guide and support your colleagues. You are the initiator who anchors and implements decisions. You will have primary responsibility for one of our departments, where the assignments vary. The departments either have a purely treatment-focused assignment or a role involving reception and needs assessment. Qualifications • Relevant academic education as a social worker or another behavioral science education that the employer deems equivalent, comprising at least 180 credits. • Documented experience in independent planning work and, if possible, leadership experience to implement planned interventions together with other professional groups. • Experience working with young people and/or institutional care is advantageous, as is training in structured risk and needs assessment instruments. As a person, you are interested in driving and developing care for young people, keeping yourself informed about current research, and managing complex assignments. You should also be able to handle stressful situations, have the courage to set boundaries, and be consistent. At SiS, we value good employee relations. This means that you, as an employee, take responsibility for your work, contribute to development, and participate in fostering good collaboration. Read more about our employee relations. Employment: We are seeking five treatment secretaries. The positions are permanent full-time roles, starting with a six-month probationary period. Start date is to be agreed upon. SiS actively works against all forms of discrimination and welcomes all applicants. For work at our institutions, SiS conducts background checks before employment.
