About this role

The Swedish National Board of Institutional Care (SiS) is an authority responsible for individually tailored compulsory care for young people with complex psychosocial issues and for adults with substance abuse problems. SiS also implements secure care for youth. We operate youth homes and facilities for adults with substance abuse across the country. At SiS, your work life will be an exciting challenge. Regardless of where you work in our organization or what position you hold, you will help create life-changing transformations. SiS Youth Home Nereby operates in Harestad and Bergsjön. We conduct differentiated and high-quality educational, care, and treatment work. The operation includes various professions, such as teachers, treatment pedagogues, psychologists, nurses, and more. SiS Youth Home Nereby receives both school-age and non-school-age boys and girls with psychosocial issues, as well as those involved in crime and substance abuse. Job Description Do you want to help create life-changing differences for vulnerable individuals? Then the position of Treatment Coordinator in one of our girls' departments in Harestad, Kungälv, is for you. The foundation of our treatment work is to motivate individuals towards new and less destructive ways of living. You will work in a team of dedicated colleagues, and with your combined expertise, you have the opportunity to achieve positive results. As a Treatment Coordinator, you will plan, implement, and follow up on program activities. You will conduct treatment conversations and have special responsibility for documentation and the forms and instruments used in treatment. You will collaborate with various functions regarding mapping, establishing, and following up on treatment plans. The role of Treatment Coordinator also includes additional responsibility for mentoring new employees and interns. An important shared mission for all employees is to contribute to creating a safe environment and ensuring that security in the institution is maintained according to procedures. The job can often be demanding but is also stimulating, rewarding, and varied. Our vision is to be a place for change, which permeates our approach, our commitment, and our attitude. Qualifications Your personal suitability is key to life-changing transformation. Therefore, you need to have a strong ability to create engagement and participation. Equally important is having a solid positive view of people, being empathetic, and being able to build good relationships. You possess strong communication skills and can remain calm even in pressured situations. You also have a good ability to collaborate with others and are willing to share your knowledge with colleagues. In your role as Treatment Coordinator, you will have individual responsibility for several interventions in the treatment plan, as well as responsibilities within the department that require experience and the ability to coordinate that work. You need to be adept at planning and structuring your work, able to work independently, and take initiative. Since treatment work is documented and discussed with various stakeholders, high proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written, is required. Requirements: • Relevant higher education, such as a degree in social work, social pedagogy, or another health/behavioral science education, or post-secondary education such as treatment pedagogue, with substantial experience in program activities. • Experience in conducting motivational and treatment work individually and/or in groups. • B driver's license. Meritorious: • Experience working with individuals in vulnerable life situations, e.g., work in psychiatry, residential care (HVB), or within LSS care. • Experience from client-facing positions in the Swedish Prison and Probation Service, e.g., correctional officer. • Experience working with our target group (e.g., in youth care focusing on girls, LVU, etc.). At SiS, we value good employee engagement. This means that as an employee, you take responsibility for your work, contribute to development, and participate in good collaboration.
