The Swedish National Institutions for Care (SiS) is an agency responsible for individually tailored compulsory care for youth with complex psychosocial problems and adults with substance abuse. SiS also implements closed youth care. We do this at youth homes and homes for adults with addiction, across the country. At SiS, your work life will be an exciting challenge. Job Description
Do you want to help create vital change for vulnerable people? Then the job as a treatment pedagogue at SiS is a meaningful challenge. As a treatment pedagogue, you work in a team with treatment assistants and treatment coordinators, collectively responsible for providing the youth and clients living with us the security, care, and treatment they need. We often encounter people in crisis, which means you will work with qualified care and motivation efforts and provide daily support. With your knowledge in care and treatment work, you actively contribute to fulfilling treatment plans. Documentation is an important part of your work, contributing to legal certainty, planning, and follow-up of our activities. You help maintain safety according to our routines and contribute to smooth daily operations including schooling, cleaning, cooking, and more. Being a contact person is also one of your tasks. The work may also include mentoring new employees and interns. This is a job for someone who sees a positive challenge in working with vulnerable people in difficult life situations. The job is often demanding but also stimulating, joyful, and varied.

Working hours are according to schedule, including days, evenings, and weekends.
As a new employee, you will undergo SiS's 10-week basic training. The training alternates between theory and supervised introduction, equipping you for the treatment role in SiS operations.
Karlsvik Department is a discharge preparation unit located in Höör and is a branch of SiS Youth Home Hässleholm. The unit is focused on youth in the transition phase who are not deemed to require care in locked facilities.
Qualifications
To succeed in your work, you have a deeply rooted positive view of people. You are motivated to help people in vulnerable life situations and share SiS's core value of being a place for change. Furthermore, you have a good ability to create engagement and participation among our youth. As a person, you are confident and able to build relationships with youth and colleagues alike. You have strong communication skills and can remain calm in pressured situations. You collaborate easily and can handle conflicts constructively.
You should have:
• Diploma from a 2-year post-secondary education at folk high school or vocational college with a focus on social/pedagogical treatment work, or a college education we deem equivalent
• B driver's license
• Excellent Swedish language skills, both spoken and written
Additional Meritorious Requirements:
• Experience working with people in vulnerable life situations (e.g., psychiatry, LSS care)
• Experience in client-facing positions in Criminal Care
• Security guard training
• Experience in client-facing positions at the Migration Agency
• Healthcare and social care education
• Experience working with our target group (e.g., addiction care, youth care, young girls)

Employment:
This is a permanent full-time position, starting with a six-month probationary period. Start date by agreement.
