Do you have experience working with clients in need of support and protection? We are currently seeking a treatment educator who wants to take the next step in their career and make a difference in people's lives. About the organization With extensive experience supporting individuals exposed to violence, Patia offers protective placements in securely located sheltered accommodations across the country. Patia Sheltered Apartments cater to adult women and men aged 18 and above, with or without accompanying children, who require protection due to violence or threats. We work with individuals who wish to leave criminal environments as well as those who are at risk of threats and/or violence in or outside of close relationships. The organization provides protection, housing in private apartments, and individually tailored support aimed at enabling individuals to build a life free from threats, violence, and other abuses. We systematically work with safety planning and offer support based on the social services mandate. The role may include assistance in processing experiences of violence, community information, support in dealings with authorities and healthcare, as well as support in establishing oneself in a safe location, among other tasks. We collaborate with social services, the police, and other stakeholders. About the position We are now looking for two treatment educators for our operations, located in two different areas in Västra Götaland, with an employment rate of 100% and 50% respectively. The positions primarily involve work on weekdays during office hours, but evenings and weekends may occur. Start date will be agreed upon. As a treatment educator, you contribute to creating a safe and secure environment for our clients and play an important role in our work to offer individualized and high-quality support and protection. Your responsibilities The role of treatment educator includes, among other tasks: • Implementing protective and support measures for adults and children who have experienced violence within the framework of case management. • Performing administrative tasks such as record-keeping and the establishment and revision of implementation plans and risk analyses. • Collaborating with social services, the police, and other relevant authorities and community actors. • Being responsible for the follow-up of interventions and ongoing reporting to social services. • Performing practical tasks such as cleaning and shopping to create a safe and functional daily life for our clients. We are looking for someone who is independent and goal-oriented, with a strong desire to use their skills and experience to make a difference. You have a genuine commitment to the target group and are a mature, secure person who remains calm even in stressful and demanding situations. You have a natural ability to create a calm, safe, and positive environment for both clients and colleagues. As a relationship-building and empathetic person, you can build trust while setting clear and consistent boundaries. You have the ability to meet people with different needs and personalities. Personal suitability is highly valued. Your qualifications To be considered for the position of treatment educator, we expect you to meet the following requirements: • Post-secondary education equivalent to at least two years of full-time studies (400 YH points or 120 HP), for example, as a treatment educator, social educator, or social worker. • At least 2 years of work experience in social work and a good understanding of the Social Services Act. • You are fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written. • A valid driver's license (B) is required. • Previous work with protection, criminality, or mental health issues is an advantage. • Knowledge and training in motivational interviewing, KSL, TMO, and protection assessment methods such as FREDA, SARA:SV, or PATRIARK is advantageous.
