Job Description SiS is an authority that conducts essential societal operations by providing compulsory care and treatment to young people and adults with serious psychosocial problems and substance abuse. This operation is part of the care chain aimed at giving individuals the conditions for a socially functioning life. Through your employment as a treatment educator, you can make a difference for our youth. In our operations, you as a treatment educator will have the opportunity to engage in treatment work in a high-security environment with good staffing density. The young people at SiS have backgrounds marked by unpredictability and stress in various forms, which means your focus will be on professionally working with treatment, care, and motivational efforts, as well as providing support in their daily lives. This is a job for you who see a positive challenge in working with vulnerable boys and girls in difficult life situations. You will be part of the youths' schooling, cooking and cleaning routines, evening activities, and more, as those living here do so around the clock. All activities are carried out safely and are carefully risk-assessed before implementation. You will work on building secure relationships, as well as utilizing selected and effective treatment methods. Documentation is an important part of your work, contributing to legal security, planning, and follow-up of our operations. Qualifications Requirements for the position include: • Post-secondary education of at least two years in accordance with the new Social Services Ordinance. This can include education in areas such as social work, social pedagogy, behavioral science, or other relevant fields. Exceptions to the educational requirement can be made, but only if there are special reasons. A special reason may be, for example, extensive professional experience or other relevant qualifications. • B driver's license • Proficient Swedish in both spoken and written form Personal qualities To succeed in your work, you have a solid positive view of people. You are motivated to help individuals in vulnerable life situations and share SiS's core values of being a place for change. Furthermore, you have a good ability to create engagement and participation among our youth. As a person, you are self-assured and find it easy to build relationships with both the youth and other staff members. Employment: The position is a permanent full-time employment starting with a six-month probationary period. Start date is to be agreed upon. Working hours are according to a schedule including days, evenings, and weekends. As a new employee, you will undergo SiS's basic training for 10 weeks. The training combines theory with a guided introduction and prepares you for the treatment role within SiS's operations. Interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis.
