State Institutions Board (SiS) is a government agency responsible for individualized compulsory care for youth and adults with substance abuse. SiS also implements closed youth care. We do this at youth homes and facilities for adults with substance abuse, across the country. At SiS, your work life will be an exciting challenge. SiS Youth Home Folåsa receives school-age girls with psychosocial problems, criminal behavior, and substance abuse. Job Description We are seeking additional night staff as we expand night shift staffing. Are you interested in being part of creating vital change for vulnerable people? Then the job as a treatment pedagogue at SiS is a meaningful challenge. As a treatment pedagogue, you work in a team with treatment assistants and treatment coordinators, collectively responsible for providing the youth in our care with the security, care, and treatment they need. We often encounter people in crisis, which means working with qualified care and motivational work and providing daily support. With your knowledge in care and treatment work, you actively contribute to fulfilling treatment plans. Documentation is a crucial part of your work, contributing to legal certainty, planning, and follow-up of our operations. You help maintain safety according to our routines and ensure smooth daily activities including schooling, cleaning, cooking, and more. The job may also involve mentoring new employees and interns. This is a job for someone who sees a positive challenge in working with vulnerable people in difficult life situations. The work is often demanding but also stimulating, joyful, and varied. Work hours are according to a night shift schedule, working a rotating 3-week schedule with approximately 7 night shifts. You will work in teams of two per department. Folåsa has a total of 5 departments. As a new employee, you will undergo SiS's 10-week basic training. The training alternates between theory and supervised introduction, preparing you for the treatment role in SiS operations. Qualifications To succeed in this role, you must have a deeply rooted positive view of people. You are motivated to help people in vulnerable life situations and share SiS's core value of being a place for change. Furthermore, you have a strong ability to create engagement and participation among our youth. As a person, you are self-assured and skilled at building relationships with both youth and staff. You have good communication skills and can remain calm in pressured situations. You collaborate easily and can handle conflicts constructively. You should also have: • Diploma from a 2-year post-secondary school or vocational college with a focus on social/pedagogical treatment work or equivalent college education • Class B driver's license • Excellent Swedish language skills, both verbal and written Preferred qualifications: • Experience working with people in vulnerable life situations, e.g., psychiatry or LSS care • Experience in client-facing positions in Corrections, e.g., Correctional Officer • Healthcare and social care education • Experience working with youth • Experience with night shift work At SiS, we value good employee participation.
