The Swedish National Board of Institutional Care, SiS, is an authority responsible for individually tailored compulsory care for young people with complex psychosocial issues and for adults with substance abuse problems. SiS Youth Home Ryds Brunn accommodates school-age boys with psychosocial issues, criminal behavior, and substance abuse.
**Job Description**
Do you want to be part of creating life-changing transformations for vulnerable individuals? Then the position of treatment pedagogue at SiS is a meaningful challenge. As a treatment pedagogue, you will work in a team alongside treatment assistants and treatment coordinators, collectively responsible for ensuring that the young people and clients residing with us receive the safety, care, and treatment they need. We often encounter individuals in crisis, which means you will engage in qualified care and motivational work, providing support in their daily lives. With your knowledge in care and treatment work, you will actively contribute to the implementation of treatment plans. Documentation is an important part of your work, contributing to legal security, planning, and follow-up of our operations. You will help maintain safety according to our routines and contribute to the smooth running of daily activities, including schooling, cleaning, cooking, and more. Being a contact person is also one of your responsibilities. The role may also involve mentoring new employees and interns. This is a job for those who see a positive challenge in working with vulnerable individuals in difficult life situations. The work can often be demanding but is also stimulating, joyful, and varied.

Working hours are according to a schedule, including days, evenings, and weekends.
As a new employee, you will undergo SiS basic training. The training combines theory with a guided introduction and prepares you for the treatment role in SiS operations.
**Qualifications**
To succeed in your work, you must have a solid positive view of people. You are motivated to help individuals in vulnerable life situations and share SiS's core values of being a place for change. Furthermore, you have a strong ability to create engagement and participation among our youth. As a person, you are self-assured and easily build relationships with both young people and other staff members. You possess good communication skills and can maintain your composure even in stressful situations. You collaborate well with others and can handle conflicts constructively.
You should also have:
- A degree from a 2-year post-secondary education at a folk high school or vocational college (KY/YH) with a focus on social/pedagogical treatment work or equivalent education from a university as assessed by us.
- A valid driver's license (B).
- Proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.
Meritorious qualifications include:
- Experience working with our target group in youth care.

**Employment:**
The position is a permanent full-time employment starting with a six-month probationary period. Start date is negotiable.
