State Institutions Board (SiS) is a government agency responsible for individually tailored compulsory care for youth with complex psychosocial issues and adults with substance abuse. SiS also executes closed youth care. We do this at youth homes and homes for adults with substance abuse, throughout the country. At SiS, your work life will be an exciting challenge. SiS Youth Home Nereby operates in Harestad and Bergsjön. We provide differentiated and high-quality school, care, and treatment work. The operation includes a variety of professionals, such as teachers, treatment pedagogues, psychologists, nurses, and others. SiS Youth Home Nereby receives both school-aged and non-school-aged boys and girls with psychosocial problems, criminality, and substance abuse.
Job Description
Do you want to help create vital change for vulnerable people? Then the job as a treatment pedagogue at SiS Youth Home Nereby is a meaningful work for you. We are now seeking two treatment pedagogues for one of our girls' departments in Harestad, Kungälv. As a treatment pedagogue, you work in a team with treatment assistants and treatment coordinators, and together you are responsible for providing the youth and clients living with us with the security, care, and treatment they need. We often encounter people in crisis, which means you will work with qualified care and motivation work and provide daily support. With your knowledge of care and treatment work, you actively contribute to completing treatment plans. Documentation is an important part of your work, contributing to legal certainty, planning, and follow-up of our operations. You help maintain safety according to our routines and ensure the daily flow of schooling, cleaning, cooking, and more. Being a contact person is also one of your tasks. The work may also involve mentoring new employees and interns.
This is a job for someone who sees a positive challenge in working with vulnerable people in a difficult life situation. The job is often demanding but also stimulating, joyful, and varied.

Working hours are according to a schedule of day - evening and weekend.
As a new employee, you will undergo SiS basic training for 10 weeks. The training alternates between theory and supervised introduction, preparing you for the treatment role in SiS operations.
Qualifications
To succeed in your work, you have a deeply rooted positive view of people. You are motivated to help people in a vulnerable life situation and share SiS's core value of being a place for change. Furthermore, you have a good ability to create engagement and participation among our youth. As a person, you are confident and adept at creating relationships with both youth and staff. You have good communication skills and can remain calm in pressured situations. You easily collaborate with others and can handle conflicts constructively.
Requirements:
• Degree from a 2-year post-secondary school or vocational college with a focus on social/pedagogical treatment work or an equivalent university education
• B driver's license
• Excellent Swedish in speech and writing
Meritorious:
• Experience working with people in vulnerable life situations, e.g., psychiatry, residential care, or LSS care
• Experience from client-close positions in Correctional Services
• Education in healthcare and social care
• Experience working with our target group (e.g., youth care focusing on girls, compulsory care, etc.)

Employment:
This is a permanent full-time position, starting with a six-month probationary period. Commencement by agreement.
