State Institutions Board (SiS) is a government agency responsible for individually tailored compulsory care for youth with complex psychosocial problems and adults with substance abuse. SiS Youth Home Nereby operates in Harestad and Bergsjön. We conduct differentiated and high-quality school, care, and treatment work. The operation includes a variety of professions, such as teachers, treatment pedagogues, psychologists, nurses, and others. SiS Youth Home Nereby receives both school-age and non-school-age boys and girls with psychosocial problems, criminality, and substance abuse.
Job Description
Do you want to help create vital change for vulnerable people? Then the job as night treatment pedagogue at SiS is a meaningful challenge. We often encounter people in crisis, which means you will work with qualified care and motivation work. With support from your knowledge in care and treatment work, you actively contribute to completing treatment plans. Documentation is an important part of your work, contributing to legal certainty, planning, and follow-up of our activities. You help maintain security according to our routines. The work may also include mentoring new employees and trainees. This is a job for someone who sees a positive challenge in working with vulnerable people in difficult life situations. The job is often demanding but also stimulating, joyful, and varied.

Work hours are scheduled according to 75% night shifts.
As a new employee, you will undergo SiS basic training for 10 weeks. The training alternates theory with supervised introduction and prepares you for the treatment role in SiS activities.
Qualifications
To succeed in your work, you have a firmly rooted positive view of people. You are motivated to help people in vulnerable life situations and share SiS's core value of being a place of change. Furthermore, you have a good ability to create engagement and participation among our youth. As a person, you are confident and can easily create relationships with youth as well as with other staff members. You have good communication skills and can maintain your composure even in pressured situations. You can easily collaborate with others and handle conflicts constructively.
You should also have:
• Degree from 2-year post-secondary education at folk high school or vocational college (KY/YH) focused on social/pedagogical treatment work or university education we deem equivalent
• Class B driver's license
• Excellent Swedish in speech and writing
Meritorious experience:
• Experience working with people in vulnerable life situations, e.g., work in psychiatry or LSS care
• Experience from client-facing positions in Correctional Services, e.g., Correctional Officer
• Education in care and healthcare
• Experience working with our target group

Employment:
The position is a permanent employment at 75% night shift rate and begins with a six-month probationary period.
