State Institutions Board (SiS) is a government agency responsible for individually tailored compulsory care for youth with complex psychosocial problems and adults with addiction. SiS also executes closed youth care. We do this at youth homes and homes for adults with addiction, across the country. At SiS, your work life will be an exciting challenge. SiS LVM Home Hornö receives men with alcohol, drug, or mixed addiction. We receive men with mental health issues and men with acting-out behavior. We are tasked with providing care for clients with special care needs.
Job Description
Do you want to make a crucial difference for vulnerable people? Then the job as a treatment assistant at SiS is a meaningful challenge. The goal of your assignment is to motivate our clients towards new and less risky ways of living. As a treatment assistant, you are employed to provide care and treatment. You contribute to ensuring the department's routines function as they should. You play a significant role in the stability and security of our clients, providing the base of daily life such as cleaning, cooking, and more. You help maintain order and security at the institution according to our routines. Documentation is an important part of your work. You will work on building safe relationships and help our clients obtain the security they need to break ingrained behaviors. Together with your team of dedicated colleagues such as treatment pedagogues and treatment coordinators, you have the opportunity to achieve good results and contribute to change. The job is often demanding but also stimulating, joyful, and varied.

Working hours include day, evening, weekend, and awake night shifts.
Qualifications
Your personal suitability is the key to vital change. Therefore, you need to have a good ability to create engagement and participation. Equally important is having a solid positive view of people, great empathetic ability, and a capacity to build good relationships. You have good communication skills and can maintain calm even in pressured situations. You also have the ability to collaborate with others and are happy to share your knowledge with colleagues.
You should also have:
• At least a 2-year post-secondary education from a folk high school, vocational college, or equivalent education. The education should be focused on social work, social pedagogy, behavioral science, or another relevant subject area.*
• B driver's license
• Good Swedish language skills, both verbal and written
