About this role
Stockholm – our capital city with millions of dreams, expectations, and ambitions. We work for everyone living here today and in the future. We are now looking for someone who wants to think big, new, and differently with us – for the people of Stockholm.
The Social Administration of the City of Stockholm has an overarching and coordinating role for social services related to individual and family care and the area of disabilities. Here, we create good conditions to meet residents in need of social services support. In close collaboration with the district administrations, we contribute to a modern, digital, legally secure, equal, and knowledge-based social service, and we have a strong focus on development. Within the administration, a wide range of support measures is offered to the city's residents, and this offering changes based on the needs of Stockholmers and the wishes of the district administrations. The work often occurs in close cooperation with other authorities, civil society, and the business sector. The Social Administration is also responsible for the city's serving and tobacco permits and conducts inspections.
Welcome to us
The City of Stockholm is opening a new emergency accommodation for men, and we are therefore seeking someone who wants to be involved from the beginning and make a difference for people in acute homelessness.
The accommodation will cater to men in acute homelessness who also need support due to harmful use and addiction, mental health issues, comorbidity, or other difficulties. The operation is part of the Adult Housing Area within the Social Administration and has the main mission to assist in the process out of homelessness. The work is carried out on behalf of the districts of Stockholm and the Homelessness Area.
The accommodation will open in temporary premises in Aspudden and will then move to a permanent location in 2027.
The staff will consist of a unit manager, a group leader, an administrator, and 12 treatment assistants, of which 7 will work during the day.
The accommodation is closely linked to the City of Stockholm's other emergency accommodation for men, called Grimman, and they complement each other.
An emergency accommodation is a gathering place that offers an urgent solution during a critical phase in life. This means that the accommodation will house individuals with various problems, often when they are at their lowest point. The duration of stay is frequently very short. We will also be able to offer a few places for those who need a slightly longer placement while awaiting assessment or placement in another accommodation.
It is a drug-tolerant accommodation, which means that individuals are welcome even if they are under the influence, but they are not allowed to drink or use drugs inside the accommodation.
We offer
To provide you with the best possible conditions, we offer a thorough introduction and attractive employment terms, occupational pension, wellness allowance of 3000 SEK, and the option for vacation exchange.
