About this role

Jönköping Municipality is a large employer with hundreds of different professional roles. We are growing in line with the development of the municipality, with an increasing population, more housing, and a broader range of services. We are always on the lookout for new talent – employees from diverse backgrounds and experiences, united by the common drive to create a better community to visit, live, work, and reside in. The Social Administration in Jönköping is now strengthening its efforts to provide tailored support to youth in vulnerable life situations. Through the Multisystemic Therapy (MST) method, we offer intensive treatment interventions in the youth's home environment, aimed at enabling them to remain at home and creating lasting change within the entire family system. We are now seeking dedicated therapists for our newly established MST team – would you like to make a real difference? Your new job As an MST therapist, you will work with youth and their families to change norm-breaking behaviors through multisystemic therapy (MST). You will use the MST approach to strengthen family relationships, support the youth, and educate parents. Additionally, you will closely collaborate with schools, leisure programs, and other key actors around the youth. As a therapist, you will work intensively with 3-4 families simultaneously. You will be part of a team with two other therapists and a coordinator. The work is home-based, which means you will meet families in their homes, as well as collaborate with, for example, police, schools, and leisure leaders. The team has weekly supervision, and you will receive support from experienced colleagues and supervisors to advance your skills within the method. You will also attend MST training if you do not already have this competency. For more information about the method, please visit http://www.mstsverige.se. Your qualifications We are looking for candidates with an approved degree in social work, a university education in social pedagogy, or another university education of at least 180 credits that is deemed equivalent by the employer. It is advantageous if you have completed phase 1 of psychotherapy and/or have equivalent further training in systemic family therapy or cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). Experience in family work, family therapy, or cognitive behavioral therapy is a requirement. You must have good knowledge of both Swedish and English, as consultation and training will partly be conducted in English. A valid driver's license (Category B) is required due to travel being part of the role. Further training in system-theoretical methods or qualified change work is also a plus. We are looking for someone with strong commitment, flexibility, and who enjoys working both independently and in a team. Furthermore, you are confident, stable, and possess self-awareness. A driver’s license (Category B) is a requirement for the position. In the recruitment process, we will place significant emphasis on personal suitability. We offer you As an employee of Jönköping Municipality, you will receive a secure employment contract and can benefit from general perks such as a wellness allowance. The outpatient care, in addition to the MST team, has two units with a total of about 40 employees. The workplace is located in central Jönköping. Good to know You are offered a permanent, full-time position, with start date according to agreement. Interviews and tests will be conducted in collaboration with MST Sweden. In your application, we request that you include a CV, a copy of your degree certificate, and current employment certificates that verify the positions you have held and the extent of your work.
