The Adult Open Care Unit provides advice, support, and actively works with preventive measures and treatment for psychosocial issues caused by dependency problems. Our work is based on the National Guidelines from the National Board of Health and Welfare. The unit's target group is adults 18 and older and their families whose lives and development are affected by alcohol, drugs, and gambling. The interventions we offer are tailored to the client's situation, needs, and wishes. The unit is located near the Main Square and consists of 24 employees and a unit manager. Together, we'll make ourselves, our organization, and Gävle even better! As a therapist in the Adult Open Care Unit, you'll be a crucial part of our clients' treatment process. You'll work with clients requiring individualized interventions, conducting outreach work in their everyday environments. You'll work holistically, adapting open care interventions based on the client's challenges, resources, and needs. Your work involves strengthening the client's resources where they are. This includes close collaboration with family members and other stakeholders such as psychiatry, healthcare, Social Insurance Agency, probation services, voluntary organizations, etc. You'll work using evidence-based methods toward established treatment goals, with documentation being an important part of the work. You'll be responsible for ongoing interventions through frequent follow-ups with case managers from our clients' referring agencies, such as the Adult Investigation Unit within social services. In your role, you'll also be involved in developing our organization, showing interest and maintaining good environmental awareness regarding research and development in addiction care. QUALIFICATIONS We're seeking candidates with a degree in alcohol and drug therapy, CBT therapy, treatment pedagogy, social pedagogy, or other education/experience deemed relevant by the employer. Requirements include previous treatment work with dependency and a B driver's license for manual transmission vehicles with driving experience. Additional merits include experience/knowledge in CBT, MI, CRA/ACRA, ÅP, MET, HAP, 12 STEPS, basic knowledge of criminality, psychiatry, and co-morbidity. To succeed in this role, you must be able to see the whole person. You'll understand our clients' situations, listen and show consideration, and easily build trustful relationships. You communicate clearly and confidently in various contexts, adapting your language to different situations, purposes, and recipients. Your work style is characterized by excellent planning and organizational skills, ability to work on long-term projects, prioritize effectively, and find alternative solutions to emerging problems.
