Qualified Teacher of Natural Sciences (Physics & Chemistry) for Grades 7-9, 28% Position

Broskolan is beautifully located in Svedjeholmen in the southwestern part of Örnsköldsvik. The school is an independent primary school with a Christian orientation, offering grades F-9, after-school care, and two preschool departments. The school has approximately 140 students in mixed classes. In addition to educators, the school has functions such as school administration, student health, kitchen, cleaning, and maintenance. During the spring semester of 2018, Broskolan worked on developing a pedagogy aimed at improving students' physical well-being, participation, and results. This school development work will continue to be refined for the benefit of both students and educators regarding teaching and education. In your teaching and education assignment as a Physics & Chemistry Teacher at Broskolan, we want you to: - Conduct teaching and assessment in physics & chemistry for grades 7-9. - Stay updated with current research and want to develop physics and chemistry instruction together with students and colleagues, sharing your experiences and supporting the development of everyone's teaching through a pedagogically challenging approach. - Work to develop instruction based on scientific grounds and proven experience. - Provide comprehensive instruction with varied teaching methods, challenges, and adaptations tailored to each student's conditions. - Work with student involvement in your teaching in a way that allows students to develop and own their learning process, providing feedback that moves them forward in their learning. - Maintain a clear student focus in your teaching role when working with instruction and assessment. - Create a safe and permissive classroom climate through clear structure. - Build good relationships through curiosity and trust with students and colleagues. - Hold high expectations and confidence in students' abilities, with an encouraging and supportive approach. - Share our Christian fundamental perspective. The position starts at the beginning of the spring semester 2025, distributed over 5 working days/week.
