The position is available from January 6, 2026. Broskolan is beautifully located in Svedjeholmen in the southwestern part of Örnsköldsvik. The school is an independent primary school with a confessional Christian orientation, offering grades F-9, after-school care, and two preschool departments. The school has approximately 140 students in mixed classes. In addition to educators, the school has functions such as school administration, student health services, kitchen, cleaning, and maintenance. During the spring term of 2018, Broskolan worked on developing a pedagogy aimed at enhancing students' physical well-being, participation, and results. This school development work will continue to be refined for the benefit of both students and educators in relation to teaching and education. In your teaching and educational role as an art teacher at Broskolan, we expect you to:
- Conduct teaching and assessment in the subject of art for grades 3-9.
- Stay updated with current research and wish to develop art education together with students and colleagues, sharing your experiences and supporting and enhancing everyone's teaching through a pedagogically challenging approach.
- Work to develop teaching based on scientific foundations and proven experience.
- Provide diverse instruction with a variety of teaching methods, challenges, and adaptations based on each student's circumstances.
- Engage students in your teaching in such a way that they can develop and take ownership of their learning process, providing feedback that advances their learning.
- Maintain a clear student focus in your teaching and assessment role.
- Create a safe and permissive classroom climate through clear structure.
- Build good relationships through curiosity and trust with students and colleagues.
- Hold high expectations and confidence in students' abilities, providing an encouraging and supportive response.
- Share our Christian worldview. As an art teacher at Broskolan, you will be responsible for teaching art from grades 3-9.
