Your mission
In this role, you will collaborate with another childcare worker and a preschool teacher who leads the educational work. Together, you will design an educational program that is safe, enjoyable, and educational for every child, where children's involvement and influence are fundamental. You will work to provide both secure care and stimulate children's development and learning.
Together with your colleagues, you will plan, implement, follow up, and evaluate the operations based on the preschool curriculum and established goals. You will work on projects and document children's learning processes using a shared template for systematic quality work through documentation, reflection, and analysis. You will actively participate in pedagogical documentation and developmental work. Currently, we are focusing on the development of SKA work and our pedagogical learning environments.
Your responsibilities will also include onboarding, participating in project work, attending parent meetings, conducting development conversations, maintaining daily contact with guardians, as well as opening and closing the preschool. Over time, you may need to be prepared to work with children of all ages as we adjust our work teams based on educational needs.
Your experience
For this position, you are required to have:
- Upper secondary or post-secondary education as a childcare worker
- Experience working as a childcare worker in preschool
- Experience with and good knowledge of pedagogical documentation
- Strong ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing
It is beneficial if you also have:
- Good digital skills
- Experience working with children of all ages
- Experience and knowledge of children with neuropsychiatric diagnoses
- Experience working with norm-critical working methods
- Knowledge of child development
- Experience actively driving preschool's development and quality work forward

We offer
Utskogens Preschool is located in a building with a wonderful view over Skurusundet. We have great opportunities for rich and varied outdoor experiences. The preschool is nestled in nature close to forest and sea, and features a large and fun playground on multiple levels. Currently, the preschool has eight departments spread over two floors. We work in collaborative pairs; our departments work together in pairs to manage logistics and common projects. Each floor has a shared square used for different activities/projects. An atelier area is also present in each square where much of the creative activities take place. We emphasize creating a stimulating environment that sparks children's ideas and desire to experiment.
