Information about the position
We are a small preschool, with only a mixed-age group of currently 15 children. The group is often divided into smaller groups throughout the day to tailor the education to the children's interests and needs. Our principal is responsible for both the school and preschool, and we have a close collaboration with both the school and after-school care, which means we continue to be a part of the children's lives even after they leave the preschool program. The children also enjoy a safe and smooth transition to the preschool class.
The proximity to nature, with both the forest and Bråviken within walking distance, is appreciated by both the children and educators. We also have a good collaboration with various associations in the village, all of whom are eager to help. Our parents are very engaged, and we have a wonderful partnership with them in both big and small matters.
What we are looking for
We prefer that you have education and/or experience in preschool and/or school. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. To fit into the role as an educator in our program, you should have an interest in pedagogical work and be flexible, as we collaborate extensively with the school. You should be curious and proactive. As a person, you should possess good teamwork skills as well as clear and straightforward communication. A valid driver’s license and access to a car are essential unless you live within walking or cycling distance.
Description of the organization
Kvarsebo School and Preschool is an independent entity operated by the Non-Profit Association Kvarsebo School since 2004 when the operations were taken over from Norrköping Municipality. In 2010, the association also took over the preschool's operations. The association’s board serves as the employer for the school staff and sets guidelines for the operations. Our educational focus is general, and we aim to provide a quality education characterized by small scale and a conducive learning environment. The finances are primarily based on municipal charter school contributions.
Employment details
The position is a permanent employment with an initial probationary period of 6 months. Your primary duties will be at the preschool, but work at the school/after-school care may also occur.
Working hours are 80-100%, based on preferences.
Start date is from January 7 or as agreed.
