About the Department The Children and Youth Medicine department conducts broad pediatric services with good competence in many subspecialty areas. We have a pediatric ward with 18 care beds and a neonatal ward with 10 beds for newborns from week 25+0. We have a children's day care and a very well-functioning mobile pediatric team. Clinic services are provided at the subspecialty clinic at USÖ and three general pediatric clinics in Örebro, Lindesberg, and Karlskoga. At the Children and Youth Clinic, dietitians, counselors, psychologists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, teachers, and play therapists work closely together with other healthcare personnel. Job Responsibilities You will work as one of two contact nurses in our dedicated pediatric neurology team, collaborating with doctors and various paramedical professionals. We offer varied work including individual consultations, sample taking, telephone advisory, and team consultations. As a contact nurse, you'll provide support to patients and guardians. You'll also be part of the collective clinic work. We offer individually adapted introduction, relevant further training, and support from experienced colleagues. Qualifications You should be a registered nurse with at least 3 years of professional experience. We prefer candidates with specialist training in pediatric nursing or interested in further education. Excellent communication and collaboration skills with patients, guardians, colleagues, and partners are necessary. We place great importance on personal suitability and experience.
