About the Job
Your tasks at the Child Health Center (BVC) will be varied, where you will follow children with their guardians from newborn to the point when school health services take over. You will play a central role in addressing the needs of families, making medical and care assessments and priorities. You will work in a health-promoting, advisory, and treatment capacity via phone, home visits, digital consultations, and in the clinic. The BVC is part of our family center, and we have a very close and positive collaboration with midwives, social workers, and educators at the family center.
You will work with health checks, vaccinations, and parent groups. The patient group consists of children aged 0-6 years and their families. Collaboration occurs in interdisciplinary teams at the health center, and there is also cooperation with external care providers such as preschools, schools, family centers, and specialist healthcare. Educating future colleagues is an important and rewarding part of our mission, so supervising students will also be part of your role at the health center.
About You
You are a licensed nurse with specialist training as a pediatric nurse or district nurse. Experience working with children and young people and/or having completed a mentorship training of 7.5 credits is advantageous, but we also welcome newly graduated candidates.
We are looking for someone who takes initiative in their work and is confident in making independent decisions. You are meticulous, possess good problem-solving skills, and can effectively prioritize your tasks.
In your work, you will meet many different families, so it is important that you are accommodating, attentive, and willing to help others. We also believe that you thrive in teamwork and that collaborating with colleagues and other contacts is second nature to you. You can express yourself well in both speech and writing and are an engaged and good listener during both digital meetings and in-person visits at the clinic. We would also like you to have an interest in digitalization and organizational development.
A professional approach and a positive attitude towards families, children, and colleagues are essential for you. We also expect you to embody Närhälsan’s core values: Reliable, Caring, and Innovative.

About the Recruitment Process
Selection occurs in two stages. The first selection is made by recruiters in the HR department, who will invite candidates for a phone interview. Subsequently, the recruiting manager will make a second selection from the applicants and invite them for an interview at the health center.
We use competency-based interviews, which means that responses to questions should be based on actual situations. It is important that you describe the most concrete situations possible and try to avoid generalized answers—this is to help us understand the situation, why you acted as you did, and what the outcome was.
