About this role
**About the Job**
Are you ready to make a difference in foster care? We are currently seeking child caseworkers for two of our placement units in the Northeast.
As a child caseworker, you will have authority and will actively work on planning and following up on the care of placed children. You will maintain continuous contact with children and young people (0-21 years) in foster homes or residential care, primarily by regularly visiting them at their placements. You will collaborate closely with their parents, foster homes, networks, schools, and other partners. You will continuously assess the children's needs and make judgments on how care should be best implemented. We use proven and research-based methods to ensure quality in our work. You will work in a team with foster care caseworkers around each child and their foster home. We also work with Skolfam, an evidence-based method, where we have psychologists and special educators who support us in ensuring that children have the best possible schooling.
Our starting point is to make the child as involved as possible in their care so that they can be competent actors in their own lives. We solve many challenging situations with high quality through collaboration and a structured approach. The work is diverse and can be demanding at times, but it is also incredibly rewarding and gives us a lot in return. We have a strong team spirit and an open climate where we appreciate and support each other. To facilitate your work as a child caseworker, we also have support from a social administrator and a visitation coordinator. This frees up time for you to focus on your core tasks.
You will have the opportunity for regular methodological supervision, both individually and in groups, and we have a health promoter and a well-being group that work to ensure a positive work environment. You will receive ongoing training in the various methods we use. Evening work may occur, but we also offer flexibility in working hours and the possibility of remote work to help balance work and personal life.
**Qualifications**
To apply for the position, you need to have:
• A degree in social work
• Good knowledge of child development
• Knowledge of legislation in the field of social child welfare
• A valid driver's license (B category)
In addition to the above requirements, it is also advantageous if you have:
• At least two years of experience in authority exercise and social work with children and young people
• Good knowledge of BBIC (the Swedish model for child welfare)
• Training and experience in child interviews
• Familiarity with our local area and the specific challenges that may exist in the Northeast
To succeed in the role, you need to have a clear child perspective, good collaboration skills, and the ability to adapt your communication to the recipient and situation. To maintain legally secure documentation, you need to be meticulous and structured, as well as have a very good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish. Furthermore, you use your time efficiently, work systematically, organized, and methodically, can restructure in acute situations, and have the ability to make independent decisions within the framework of your assignment.
We place great emphasis on personal qualities.
Selection and interviews will be conducted continuously.
Interviews will be held on the following dates:
