About this role
Do you want to contribute and do something meaningful? While also developing yourself and making many connections? Then our summer positions are something for you.
With the patient at the center, we provide effective care with knowledge, quality, and compassion. With your help, both we and the patients will improve – welcome to Region Värmland!
Your workplace
The Women's Health Care department is an operation where, together with our over 200 colleagues, we offer outpatient and inpatient care in obstetrics and gynecology.
At Värmland's only maternity ward, approximately 2,500 babies are born each year, and we handle all births from week 28+0. In the delivery ward, we work in teams consisting of midwives, nursing assistants, and doctors. We strive to offer one-to-one care and to have two midwives present at births.
We place great value on having a good working environment where our employees feel seen and enjoy their work. Here, we have an open atmosphere, and collaboration among colleagues should be unpretentious and natural. It should feel safe to come to and be at work. We respect individual conditions and needs, with a work climate characterized by openness and warmth. We have a learning approach and actively work on continuous improvements.
The delivery ward has a close collaboration with the maternity ward, and several of our midwives rotate between the departments. Breastfeeding and support in parenting roles are central to our operations, and in obstetrics, we work with zero separation of mother and child. We also collaborate with the neonatal department, where co-care of mother and child is an important aspect.
If you want to be part of this, the Women's Health Care department and the delivery ward are your workplace this summer!
