About the Role

Make a difference. Every day.

Are you an experienced midwife looking to take the next step in your career and contribute to the development of care at a university hospital? We are currently seeking a specialist midwife who wants to play a key role in leading and developing our interdisciplinary team, working with evidence-based care, and enhancing patient safety.

The Obstetrics and Gynecology department employs approximately 800 staff and comprises gynecological and obstetric services in both Lund and Malmö. As a university hospital, we also have commitments related to development and education. The department also conducts successful research.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to use your specialist skills to shape the future of care, mentor colleagues, and contribute to ongoing education and the implementation of evidence-based care. If you are passionate about creating a safe, learning-oriented, and quality-assured care environment, this is the right challenge for you!

At our workplace, we operate according to Region Skåne's Competence and Service Model (KTM), which provides a clear structure for your learning and career opportunities within our organization.

Responsibilities

As a specialist midwife, you will lead and develop care in an interdisciplinary environment, aiming to strengthen collaboration and ensure both quality and patient safety. By reviewing, analyzing, and implementing current research in a critical and systematic manner, you contribute to ensuring that care is evidence-based and tailored to the needs of the organization.

Your work includes developing and quality-assuring guidelines and procedures based on the latest research, which lays the foundation for increased patient safety. With your interest in research results and expertise in care development, you will contribute to educational days that support the team's continuous learning.

You will independently convey knowledge and experience by supporting colleagues in their professional development and provide guidance in clinical work. In collaboration with the educational units of Skåne University Hospital (Sus), you will work to support and develop clinical placements, further enhancing quality in care.

Administrative time and the content of the assignment will be agreed upon with the unit manager and adjusted according to the needs of the organization. During the summer period, no time is allocated for administrative tasks, and only clinical work will be performed.
