We are looking to grow our team! Gynecology & Fertility Center/Gothenburg IVF Clinic is seeking a licensed Midwife or licensed Nurse with experience in gynecological care, preferably with specialist training as an Operating Room or Anesthesia Nurse with a strong interest in gynecology and reproductive medicine.
At our clinic in Gothenburg, we provide top-quality care in gynecology and reproductive medicine. We started our operations just over 6 years ago in new premises and are continuously expanding. A year ago, we expanded to a new floor that includes an operating department. You will be part of a team with extensive knowledge and strong commitment to patients and the organization. Work is performed in teams, and we utilize the latest technology, equipment, and expertise. We encourage all employees to contribute ideas for developing the organization.
We now have an interesting, meaningful job with varied tasks, significant responsibility, and development potential. Could this be the job for you?
Job Responsibilities
As a nurse or midwife with us, you will have a diverse and exciting role at the clinic, working in gynecology, assisted reproduction, and surgery. Responsibilities include reception work with patient scheduling, sample collection, individual consultations, telephone counseling, medical record keeping, and tasks during surgical procedures such as egg retrieval and inseminations, and monitoring in the recovery department. For those with specialist training as an operating room or anesthesia nurse, work in the operating room will also be included.
You will work in a team with gynecologists, nursing assistants/receptionists, midwives, embryologists, psychologists, operating room nurses, and anesthesiologists. You will interact with patients coming for fertility assessments and treatments (IVF, insemination, and donation treatments), as well as general gynecology and benign gynecological surgery.
You will also have the opportunity to participate in development work and research. Your workday will encompass clinical tasks combined with administrative duties, which can expand as your clinical development and future responsibilities progress. These responsibilities will be distributed among clinic staff based on interest, knowledge, and experience.
Who Are We Looking For?
We seek a licensed Midwife or licensed Nurse, preferably with specialist training as an operating room or anesthesia nurse, with a strong interest in gynecology and reproductive medicine and several years of experience. Previous experience in gynecological care, surgical operations, and/or assisted reproduction/IVF is a significant advantage but not mandatory. Strong emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
You should have excellent communication and collaboration skills, be able to express yourself well in Swedish and preferably English, both verbally and in writing. You need to be meticulous and quality-conscious, service-oriented, engaged, computer-proficient, and have a good sense of humor. In your work, you will always strive to achieve the best possible patient care, accessibility, patient safety, and care quality.
Being independent in your work and confident in your role while appreciating teamwork across multiple professions is important. Having drive and a desire to develop, taking responsibility, and enjoying participation in organizational development are also key qualities.
