REGION SKÅNE
Make a difference. Every day.
Are you an experienced midwife looking for a role where you can truly make an impact with your knowledge and clinical expertise? We welcome a confident and seasoned midwife who wants to lead and support our team in daily operations, where each patient interaction is characterized by quality and patient safety.
The Women’s Health Unit has approximately 800 employees and encompasses both gynecological and obstetrical services provided in Lund and Malmö. As a university hospital, we have assignments in both development and education, and our area of operation also conducts successful research.
At our workplace, we adhere to Region Skåne’s Competence and Service Model, which provides a clear structure for your learning and career opportunities within our organization. If you are passionate about creating a safe, learning healthcare environment and supporting colleagues in their clinical development, this is the role for you!
In this position, the focus is on enhancing the team's competence in daily practical work and improving patient safety through evidence-based methods and routines. You will provide direct support and mentorship in everyday tasks, becoming a leading voice for quality assurance and team development, while also working closely with patients and being a resource in the clinic.
You who are applying must be a licensed midwife authorized to practice within Swedish healthcare. Proficiency in Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s scale is a requirement. Additionally, you must have met the competency requirements for senior phase according to the local development program within KTM. Extensive clinical experience in obstetrics is a requirement.
It is advantageous if you hold a master's degree and/or have studied courses in improvement and change knowledge, project management, patient safety, and/or leadership, or other courses relevant to the organization. We also consider it a merit if you have extensive clinical experience as a midwife in various fields, such as primary care, ultrasound, specialist maternity care, delivery care, or postnatal care. Furthermore, we view it positively if you have been involved in development work.
We are looking for someone who places the patient at the center, is engaged, proactive, and flexible. You work person-centered and strive to develop in your role as a senior midwife in obstetrics. We hope that you, like us, value work characterized by personal responsibility, as well as respect and trust among colleagues and immediate supervisors. As we work interdisciplinary, it is important that you are responsive, have good collaboration skills, and a driving work approach focused on improvements within specialized care. Additionally, we want you to have a strong ability to instill trust, lead work groups, and implement new working methods. We operate according to Region Skåne's values: welcoming, proactive, caring, and respectful, which we expect you to embody as well. Personal suitability is of great importance.
In this recruitment, we will apply ongoing selection. We warmly welcome your application today!
We want you to thrive and want to stay and grow with us. Therefore, we promote initiatives such as our competence and service model with a focus on continuous and lifelong learning. The competence and service model is divided into different phases that build on one another, where each phase entails deeper knowledge and skills. In the later phases, you will become qualified to apply for positions that provide career opportunities and increased responsibilities.
