About this role

NU Health Care is part of the Västra Götaland Region and is one of Sweden's larger county hospitals. We are located at NÄL (Norra Älvsborg County Hospital) in Trollhättan and Uddevalla Hospital. The hospital serves a catchment area of 280,000 residents. Together, we are approximately 5,000 employees who work every day to provide good and safe specialist healthcare. We are situated on the west coast, where our area offers diverse nature with both sea, mountains, forests, and lakes. Our clinic has the vision "Together for good care and health." Are you a qualified midwife who wants to help shape healthcare with us? Women's Clinic The inpatient care at the Women's Clinic consists of a delivery ward, maternity ward, and gynecology and antenatal ward. The departments are located in shared facilities and have close collaboration. The clinic also includes several outpatient services such as gynecological care, oncological gynecology, and obstetric care. We have consolidated all inpatient care into one unit, providing significant opportunities for collaboration! About our services At the Delivery Ward, we handle approximately 3,300 deliveries per year. As a midwife in the delivery unit, you will care for pregnant women from week 28 onwards. You will manage both normal and complicated deliveries and work in a team consisting of doctors, midwives, and nursing assistants. On Ward 35/37, we care for newly delivered women and their children in close collaboration with the delivery unit and Neonatal. We also care for women with gynecological issues, both benign and oncological conditions. Additionally, we care for women wishing to terminate their pregnancies and patients with pregnancy-related problems. The ward also includes our gynecological emergency unit, which receives urgent patients during off-hours. When a new employee joins our unit, we initiate an introduction within one of our specialties based on their preferences as much as possible. The outpatient unit for pregnant and newly delivered women specializes in fetal diagnostics, routine ultrasounds, and specialist maternal care for women with diabetes or other medical needs. The unit also includes antenatal care, maternity care, and breastfeeding consultations. The unit also houses the Aurora Clinic. The gynecology clinic is a specialist outpatient service that offers extensive outpatient care with day surgery and both urgent and planned care. The clinic also includes a urotherapy service and an early pregnancy clinic. You are warmly welcome to contact us if you are interested in any of our services!
