About this role

Do you want to help create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment in Strängnäs' new swimming hall? We are looking for a flexible, positive, and dedicated lifeguard who will be responsible for the cleaning services in our beautiful facility. You will be part of the Bathhouse Unit in Strängnäs Municipality – an engaged team that is now facing an exciting development as the new swimming hall takes shape. Together, we are building a facility that will become a natural meeting place for movement, health, and community for the residents of the municipality. We have a strong team spirit and a culture where we help each other, laugh a lot, and are always ready to collaborate and show care. We believe in job satisfaction, pride, and responsibility – and with us, every employee has a unique responsibility for their area while always working towards common goals. Together, we create a modern, sustainable, and welcoming facility where both visitors and staff feel at home. We are now looking for a lifeguard responsible for cleaning services at the swimming hall. This position is a temporary contract until August 31, 2026, with the possibility of extension. Your primary placement will be at Larslunda Swimming Hall, but you may also need to work at Åkersbadet as needed. Your regular working hours are from 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM, but may occasionally include weekends and holidays. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a lifeguard responsible for cleaning services, you will play a central role in creating a pleasant, safe, and well-maintained environment in our new swimming hall. Your mission involves both participating in the daily cleaning work and leading, planning, and developing the cleaning operations. A typical day often begins with you inspecting the facility, checking cleaning machines and materials, and planning the day's tasks. You are responsible for ensuring that the cleaning schedule is followed, that the premises meet high standards, and that the right resources are in place. Throughout the day, you will also actively participate in the cleaning. You will maintain ongoing contact with colleagues and interns, and support individuals from schools and LSS activities who are doing internships with us. An important part of your work is to create a safe, positive, and learning environment for them as well. In addition to cleaning, you will assist in the daily operations of the swimming hall, such as welcoming visitors, contributing to safety and comfort, and covering for your colleagues in other areas of work as needed. This is a practical and varied job where you will use your attention to detail, leadership skills, and commitment to service every day. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who has/is: • Completed secondary education. • Experience in cleaning in public environments, preferably with responsibility for planning or management. • Familiarity with handling cleaning machines and cleaning products. • Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. • Proficient in using computers/IT as a support in your work. • A valid driver's license (B). • Skilled in swimming and feels comfortable in water. We also consider it an advantage if you have: • Cleaning service training, especially if it relates to cleaning in wet areas. • Experience in cleaning swimming halls or similar environments. • Current experience working in swimming operations. • Experience in mentoring individuals in internships or work training. Your personal qualities are important to us, and we will place great emphasis on them. We are looking for someone who spreads energy and joy at work! You are flexible and organized, with a positive attitude that inspires both colleagues and guests. You enjoy interacting with people and find it easy to collaborate with individuals with different needs and backgrounds. You view physical work as a positive aspect, and you have a keen eye for details that make a difference. Accuracy and structure are natural parts of your work approach, and you are passionate about creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. Additionally, you have a genuine interest in service and enjoy contributing to making our guests feel truly welcome.
