Swimming Pool Supervisor

Your Assignment We are seeking a responsible and service-oriented pool master. As a pool master, you will become a central part of the operation and play a key role in providing our visitors with a safe and pleasant experience. We are looking for a stable person with good collaboration skills, who can communicate well, ensure that regulations are followed, and contribute to maintaining a high standard of service, maintenance, and cleaning to create a pleasant environment at the facility. Your work tasks will include: Pool supervision Swimming instruction Customer service Sales Water purification Facility cleaning You should be able to inform visitors about risks, work preventively against accidents, and provide first aid in the event of incidents. You should also be able to handle situations requiring life-sustaining measures. The role involves working at a high pace with physically demanding tasks while maintaining calm and acting steadily during unexpected events. Workplace Description Aquarena is part of the Sports and Leisure unit and is located in the Hällåsen recreational area in Söderhamn. The Sports and Leisure unit is part of Söderhamn Municipality, Community Service sector. In the Community Service sector, operations and skills that have the greatest impact on actively working towards sustainable community development are gathered, representing the municipality's technical expertise and developing good living environments. Internal service, citizen service, and operational community building are the areas of activity within the sector. Over 800 employees work here, including in areas such as catering, cleaning, staffing, vehicle pool, sports and leisure, customer service, authority management, detailed planning, and project office. Your Competence We are seeking someone with a post-secondary pool master education, alternatively secondary education focused on leisure and pools, along with swimming instructor and pool lifeguard training, or other education and experience that the employer deems equivalent. Experience and training in instructing swimming schools for children and adults, as well as water group training, is meritorious. Experience and training in water purification and pool maintenance are also advantageous. Good swimming ability is a basic requirement. You should be able to dive to a depth of 3.8 meters and be able to complete a lifesaving test equivalent to the Gold Buoy. If you are contacted for an interview, you must be able to present an extract from the criminal record register to undergo the swimming test. As the work involves certain administrative tasks, good Swedish language skills (spoken and written) and good computer skills are required. We prefer candidates with a Class B driver's license.
