About the Job We are seeking a systems developer for our identity and authorization team. Here, we develop and operate central components of Sweden's digital infrastructure, focusing on authentication, authorization, federation, and policy management. Our goal is to build a common digital infrastructure to provide digital services to public Sweden, private actors, and citizens. Examples of services we develop and operate include secure message exchange, electronic identification and signature, and the common digital gateway to the EU. To achieve this, we are now strongly investing in building our own IT delivery capability. We work in two main areas: • Identity and Access. We develop secure identity and access solutions based on standards like OIDC, OAuth 2.0, and SAML – for both internal needs and external services. The environment is modern, container-based, with high availability and security requirements. • Federation Services. We build and manage federations for public and private collaboration using technologies like SAML 2.0 and OpenID Federation. You'll help shape the Swedish federation infrastructure. As a systems developer with us, you will: • build and further develop backend solutions in Java and related frameworks • develop services based on microservice architecture • work with identity and access management solutions (OIDC, OAuth 2.0, SAML, OIDF) • contribute to increased security and reliability of our platforms • collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and colleagues in agile teams • participate in open-source component work in the field Work is conducted in an agile manner, with strong focus on collaboration, learning, and continuous improvement. You have a strong security interest and see the value in building sustainable and robust digital solutions for society. Education – Requirements • Academic degree or equivalent deemed relevant. Experience – Requirements • At least 5 years of backend development experience in Java. • Experience with microservice architecture. • Experience with Quarkus, Spring, or similar frameworks. • Experience with security solutions for authentication, authorization, or policy management. • Experience with identity and access management, including work with OIDC, OAuth 2.0, or similar. • Experience with federation technologies based on SAML and OIDF. • Experience contributing to open-source projects in identity, access, or security. • Experience with agile development. Experience – Meriting • Experience with Kubernetes container orchestration (operations, monitoring, security). • Experience with CI/CD and automation in container and cloud-based environments. • Experience with frontend development using modern frameworks like Vue.js, Angular, or similar. Knowledge – Requirements • Excellent Swedish and English skills, both verbal and written.
