Backend / API Developer

We’re building a new and exciting social gaming platform for one of our customers – a project that combines creativity, technology, and entertainment at the highest level. We’re now looking for a skilled and motivated developer to join our team. As a developer with us, you’ll be part of an agile, cross-functional team, contributing to every stage of the development process – from concept and design to launch and live operations. The project is developed in-house at our main office in central Uppsala, Sweden, offering a dynamic environment where your ideas and technical skills will truly make an impact. Key Responsibilities • Design and implement backends for highly interactive, scalable web apps and prototypes • Build and modify high-performance APIs and programs using Java and Spring • Prepare functional specifications and test data • Collaborate with external and internal teams to test, troubleshoot performance and functional issues • Work with DevOps engineers to integrate new code into existing continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery/deployment (CD) pipelines • Deliver industry-leading results on time with minimal supervision Required Skills & Qualifications • Proven experience as a developer or similar role • Proven experience with Java and Spring • Proven understanding of distributed systems • Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or container orchestration tools • Familiarity with Git, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or similar tools • Strong problem-solving and communication skills • Familiarity with security best practices Preferred Qualifications • Knowledge of microservices and serverless architectures • Familiarity of consensus algorithms • Exposure to Agile and DevSecOps practices
