About the Position
As a department controller, you will play a central role in supporting one or more department managers within our organization. Your mission is to lead, coordinate, and develop work related to financial management and production follow-up, always focusing on efficient resource utilization, quality, and accurate reporting. The role aims to ensure that financial data and reports are delivered in compliance with applicable regulations and guidelines.
You will be the department manager's primary support for financial analyses and production follow-up, working closely with unit managers, project leaders, and other financial professionals. You are responsible for preparing relevant documentation, providing decision support, and contributing to efficient resource management.
Your responsibilities include:
• Following up on finances, forecasts, and budgets, and providing support to project leaders, unit managers, and department managers.
• Developing and analyzing financial decision-making documentation.

• Managing financial work within one or more units and contributing to process development.

About You
We are seeking candidates with a university degree in economics or equivalent competence. You have current and relevant experience in financial management, including work with budgets, forecasts, planning, analyses, and follow-up, preferably within government or public sector.
You have current and relevant experience as an economist or controller, with responsibility for project follow-up and financial support to managers. To succeed in the role, it is necessary to have experience working with financial and business systems and Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI or similar. You should also have good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. You have good skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
Experience in accounting and knowledge of public procurement law (LOU) is meritorious.
