Workplace The Economic Crime Authority is an agency with specialists conducting comprehensive crime prevention by preventing, detecting, interrupting, investigating, and prosecuting economic crimes. All competencies and professional roles are gathered under one roof, and we work together to contribute to increased security and reduced crime by combating economic criminality.
Approximately 850 employees with various competencies work at the agency, including prosecutors, police officers, civilian investigators, administrators, and other specialists. We work together in fixed or temporary teams.
Our work encompasses crime prevention, intelligence activities, investigation, and prosecution. We also actively work to recover criminal proceeds. Our work is permeated by a crime prevention perspective. Crime fighting requires close and systematic collaboration with other authorities and well-developed international cooperation.
At the Department Heads' office, three department heads are responsible for overall management of operations at the Stockholm, Southwest, and Northeast departments under the Director-General.
They also have overall responsibility for ensuring efficiency, consistency, and legal certainty, as well as developing operations at the eleven economic crime chambers. We are now seeking two department heads, one for Southwest and one for Northeast.
Job Responsibilities As a department head, you are directly subordinate to the Director-General and part of the agency's management team. Within your geographical area, you are responsible for the overall and long-term management of chamber operations. You also have ultimate operational, budgetary, and personnel responsibility for the department. You lead through chamber chiefs and make strategic and operational decisions based on the entire agency's needs.
As a department head, you will have national responsibility for certain subject areas. This national responsibility involves developing chamber operations. The development assignment includes ensuring uniform working methods and supporting documents for these operations. Very close cooperation with other department heads is a prerequisite for efficient and consistent operations. Close cooperation with other unit and office chiefs is also important. The assignment includes collaboration with external actors.

You are a stable person with excellent collaboration skills, good judgment, and high integrity.

We are seeking a chamber chief who has:
- Good management and leadership experience
- Ability and experience in leading and directing towards overall agency goals
- Good ability to create conditions for engagement, learning, and continuous improvements
- Experience in leading change and development work
- Experience with internal and external collaboration
- Very good ability to express yourself in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing
It is meritorious if you also have:
- Experience leading other managers
- Experience working at the Economic Crime Authority
Employment Information The positions are time-limited appointments as department heads. The appointment is for 1.5 years, with placement at one of the locations where the Economic Crime Authority operates. Travel is required for the job.
If the selected candidate holds a position at the Prosecution Authority, a collectively bargained time-limited employment (so-called merit employment) will be applied.
The Economic Crime Authority applies individual salary setting.
