LinkedIn – Vattenfall Services Nordic AB Instagram – Vattenfallservices About the Role Do you want to become an important part of the energy transition? Vattenfall Services is Sweden's leading contracting company in the energy and power sector, and we are developing Sweden's energy infrastructure! With us, you will work in a future-oriented industry with a strong focus on sustainability. We need more energy heroes, and we are now looking for two department managers who want to join us on the journey towards a fossil-free life! Is that you? Together, we make a difference for the entire community. The departments work on our large service agreements, primarily involving maintenance, service, and troubleshooting, but also on new construction and projects. We work with both overhead and underground cable networks within the voltage range of 0.4-40 kV. We are currently seeking two department managers within the business area of Networks East, where you will be stationed either in Nyköping/Norrköping for one department or Åtvidaberg/Nässjö/Högsby for the other department. As a Department Manager, you will have full responsibility for the work environment, finances, and results for a team of approximately 25 employees, consisting of technicians, project managers, planners, and project support. Your responsibilities include the development of employees and operations in a business-oriented environment where safety is the highest priority. Examples of responsibilities and tasks: • Personnel and resource planning - keep yourself and the department updated on services and safe working methods, and work towards further development and follow-up of methods and our delivery. • Finance – forecasting, budgeting, results and operational follow-up, as well as analysis of operations. • Customer contacts and development of existing and new business. • Participation in procurement, tendering, and contract management. The department is part of the business area Networks East. You will report to the Business Area Manager and be part of a management team with six managerial colleagues. We know that we work best together, and in this role, you will have significant opportunities to influence and contribute to the continued growth and development of the entire business area. Requirements We are looking for a leader with the ability to motivate and develop their employees. You are open, responsive, and set clear expectations – thereby creating a high level of participation and engagement. You thrive in a business-oriented environment without losing focus on the work environment and safety. Finally, you are collaborative and have a good ability to cooperate both within and outside the organization. We know that you will develop with us, but we would like you to already have: • Experience from the contracting industry – preferably within power or energy, but you could also come from construction, infrastructure, or industry. • Experience in customer and supplier relationships, financial follow-up, and contract management. • Leadership experience; if you have also had personnel responsibility, we see it as a plus. • Fluent communication skills in Swedish, both spoken and written. • A valid driver's license and the ability to travel within the geography. Additional Information We Offer After several decades in the energy industry, we know that our employees are our most important and valuable asset. Therefore, we offer you a varied workday with great opportunities for personal and professional development. We are a large and secure employer that still feels familiar, where employee safety, well-being, and collaboration are important parts of our corporate culture! At Vattenfall Services, you can make a difference, and together we take responsibility for a sustainable energy transition, together we empower a fossil-free life.
