Our mission is to support and develop healthcare across Region Halland with safe medical technology products in suitable facilities, with robust supply systems and service offerings. Our organization consists of future medical technology expertise. We work in healthcare and create the best health together by being: close, proactive, and professional. We currently have over 80 employees; engineers, technicians, hospital physicists, administrators, etc. The organization is divided into two parts: Medical Technology & Physics and Technology & Function. The Assignment We offer an exciting assignment as Department Head at MTH Information Systems (MIS). The position is located in Halmstad or Varberg, as employees are present in both locations. In Region Halland, as a manager, you have two primary tasks: to lead and manage with a focus on results and to engage and motivate your employees. You are the employer's representative and representative for Region Halland, which means understanding the organization as a whole. The role of Department Head is both varied and dynamic – you lead your units toward common goals and have overall responsibility for finances, personnel, and work environment. MIS is a department with 15 committed employees with expertise in medical technology, IT, and healthcare. We are responsible for operation, development, and management of medical technology systems used by healthcare providers across Region Halland. The department also contributes roles in regional management and is an active participant in digitalization initiatives that enhance healthcare quality and efficiency. MIS works closely with IT & Digitalization and Medical Technology departments in a boundary where technology and healthcare meet. Security is central – we work systematically and risk-aware to strengthen patient, operational, and information security. Through collaboration, we create conditions for safe and efficient care. Your direct supervisor is the Deputy Operations Manager for Medical Technology and Physics, where you are part of the management team alongside the organization's other managers. The management team collaborates closely and works from a holistic perspective for the organization. You are hired on a permanent position in your primary profession with a four-year management appointment. Qualifications You have a relevant academic education in Medical Technology or IT, or other experience we consider equivalent. Previous management experience, preferably with documented leadership training, is meritorious. We view positively if you have experience working in healthcare, especially in areas related to medical technology, medical technology information systems, or IT-adjacent administration. Understanding how medical technology applications integrate with IT infrastructure and care processes is advantageous, as is experience working with applicable regulations, such as MDR and standards in medical technology and information security. In the role, it is valuable to have experience in change management, development work, and administration in complex technical environments, preferably in collaboration between IT and MT. In your leadership, you are confident, clear, and unpretentious, with the courage to initiate and drive improvement and development from a holistic perspective. You engage and motivate your employees by involving, daring to delegate, and setting requirements to develop both the organization and your employees. You have a good ability to collaborate and create positive relationships with employees, management team, and various partners. You reflect on your leadership and use feedback to continue developing.
