The Swedish Armed Forces Transport Unit is now seeking a Department Head for the staff department, who will support management in the continued work of strengthening our transport function.
About Us
Swedish Armed Forces Logistics (FMLOG) is responsible for logistics support to units, schools, and centers – both nationally and internationally. Within FMLOG, the Transport Unit leads transport services and coordinates the implementation of the Swedish Armed Forces' strategic and operational transports. These transports include personnel, material, and entire units, carried out by air, sea, road, and rail – both within Sweden and abroad.

Primary Responsibilities
As department head, you will lead and coordinate the department's operational planning, follow-up, and operational work. You are responsible for personnel in areas such as HR, security, finance, material, and infrastructure, ensuring work is conducted efficiently, with a holistic view and good administrative culture.
You will serve as the unit's staff chief, focusing on case management, follow-up, and support to management. The role involves responsibility for quality, efficiency, and budget, as well as participation in management groups and preparations. You will contribute to decision-making documentation and lead work at various readiness levels, including mobilization planning and participation in military exercises.
Qualifications
• Academic degree or equivalent competence as assessed by the employer
• Several years of experience in personnel, budget, and operational responsibility
• Experience leading and developing operations as a manager at a corresponding level
• Excellent ability to communicate in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing
• Driver's license (B)
