The Social Administration is currently undergoing development and reorientation. We monitor global developments and adapt our operations accordingly, always with sustainability and the needs of citizens in focus.

**Responsibilities and Tasks**
You will ensure and further develop the administration's operations, bearing overall responsibility for the authority's exercise in all social services activities and for all age groups. The department also includes fee processing and system management for the social services operational systems.
In your role, you will have the following responsibilities and tasks:
- Initiate, coordinate, and lead the strategic planning of the operations
- Be responsible for ongoing development, set goals for, and follow up on the department's work
- Leadership and governance based on Lysekil Municipality's governance model
- Responsibility for the department's overall budget
- Occupational health and safety responsibility for the department
- Initiate and participate in collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders
- Prepare materials and present cases to the social welfare board
**Team**
You will have two unit managers in your team. Together, you will create conditions for the administration's resources to be used effectively and optimally. We emphasize achieving operational goals within the existing financial frameworks.
As a department head, you will be part of the management team of the head of administration, along with three other department heads, a MAS, a SAS, an investigator/developer, a public health strategist, and an administration-wide administrator.

Additionally, we see that you have an interest in leading development work, skill in developing operations according to emerging needs, and good pedagogical ability to motivate and inspire your employees in both daily work and change processes.
**Qualifications**
Requirements for the role include:
- A relevant academic education and previous experience in a leadership position within public operations, as well as in one of the operational areas
- A good understanding of the municipal decision-making process and what it means to work in a politically governed organization
- Good knowledge of applicable legislation, budget processes, and personnel issues
- Strong ability to express yourself well in both speech and writing
- Knowledge and experience of budget responsibility and financial work.
Experience in collaboration around early coordinated efforts is advantageous. Knowledge from the operational area and experience working in a politically governed organization is also a plus.
