Learn more about employment at the university on our website: https://www.lu.se/om-universitetet/jobba-hos-oss Job Responsibilities and Areas of Responsibility The Department Head of Global Student Recruitment leads, distributes, and coordinates work within the department. The role also involves developing both the operations and employees. An inclusive leadership that promotes participation, diversity, and respect is central to the assignment. The Department Head has operational and personnel responsibility and works to ensure a good work environment. Both the university's priorities and the market in which global student recruitment operates, as well as the tools and communication methods used, are constantly changing. Additionally, target group preferences and needs evolve. It is therefore crucial to be able to quickly adapt and act based on changing conditions, maintain a high degree of flexibility, and work in a long-term and strategic direction. The role involves many contact points outside the department. You will be part of the management group for the Global Engagement Section and represent the department's activities in various contexts, both within the university and nationally and internationally. Irregular working hours and work-related travel may occur. In addition to the Department Head role, you are expected to work independently on dedicated tasks within the department's operations. You are expected to have broad knowledge and competence in multiple areas of international marketing and recruitment to work operationally when needed. Qualifications Requirements for the position: - Higher education, minimum bachelor's degree, in a relevant area (HR/personnel, international relations, marketing, economics, law, or equivalent) - Extensive experience with international student recruitment at universities - Experience working as a manager - Broad and multi-year experience in international marketing and planning and executing both physical and digital events - Experience working with intercultural communication - Fluent Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing, with excellent communication skills - Good ability to switch between overarching processes and practical details - Structured work approach and good prioritization skills - Very good collaboration and problem-solving abilities - Strong interest in developing individual employees, the team as a whole, and the operations Meritorious for the position: - Experience and knowledge of Lund University - Personal international experience studying or working abroad - Experience working with marketing, pricing, and strategies for international student recruitment Additional Information The position is ongoing at 100% with a potential probationary period.
