The management staff works to translate political priorities, goals, and assignments into strategic work. The department is responsible for municipality-wide planning and follow-up and takes a comprehensive approach to development issues, strategic governance, and municipality-wide processes. This involves overall responsibility for the municipality's governance model. As department head, you will have a strategic role where you work closely with political decision-makers, the municipal director, and administrative management. You play a key role in leading and ensuring the quality of the municipal group's goal management, including the associated subprocesses. This includes the municipality's vision and political programs, goal and resource planning, structure for the committees' operational planning, as well as processes for follow-up and ongoing reporting to the committees, annual follow-ups, annual reports, and evaluations of the political programs. You will also serve as the procurement manager and be responsible for the municipality's procurement activities. The management staff's assignments also include preparing cases, conducting environmental analyses, and being responsible for several of the municipality's governing documents. As department head, you report directly to the municipal director and are part of the municipality's management team. In the management team, you work together with other managers to drive and develop the municipality as a whole. **QUALIFICATIONS** We are looking for someone with an academic education deemed suitable by the employer, as well as experience in qualified work with goal management. You have experience leading employees and working with strategic and overarching operational management. You are confident in your leadership role and accustomed to collaborating with stakeholders both within and outside the municipality's organization, and you excel at building good relationships. You are proactive and enjoy developing and improving work methods using modern IT tools. You possess strong pedagogical skills and can easily gain support for your ideas. As a person, you find it easy to create structure in your work and have the ability to see both the big picture and the details when needed. You are present for your employees and create conditions for a good work environment, engagement, and development.
