About this role

Description We are seeking a nurse for a permanent full-time position in our well-staffed and experienced care team. Ward 51 is a general psychiatric department located in the St. Göran Hospital area in Kungsholmen, Stockholm. We have specialized expertise for patients with personality disorders, neuropsychiatric disabilities, obsessive-compulsive disorders, and anxiety disorders while also meeting and caring for a broad range of patients. We actively work with Safewards to create a safer care environment. The ward has 17 care beds, of which 2 are reserved for voluntary admission. Nursing plays a central role in patient care, where we focus on strengthening self-care abilities. We work in interprofessional teams where you as a nurse have a leadership and coordinating function. We offer a well-organized workplace with a permissive and inclusive environment that strives for open communication and high ceilings. We care for each other and have fun at work. Work tasks include team leadership, medication administration, support conversations, responsibility for admission/discharge of patients in voluntary admission, and coordinating contact with outpatient care and municipality. The ward actively works to create a student-friendly environment, including through a structured peer-learning educational model. Qualifications We are looking for a licensed nurse with an interest in psychiatric nursing. You enjoy development and are comfortable with both structure and variation in work. Experience in psychiatry and/or specialized psychiatric care training is an advantage. We place great importance on personal suitability, where the ability to work in a team and be unpretentious are fundamental. Terms Permanent employment. Full-time shift work day/evening (38.15 hours/week). Fixed rotating 10-week schedule with 2 out of 5 weekends worked. Start date: by agreement.
