The customer places great trust in us, and your work as a security guard is important. With each work shift, you contribute to creating safety and security for the customer and society at large, as your work provides preventive protection against crime, improved fire safety, and much more. You will meet all of society's inhabitants, and it is crucial that you are clear, calm, and able to make thoughtful decisions.
Here are some of the most common work tasks:
A patrolling security guard works with preventive security. You are vehicle-based and visit customers in your district/area to, among other things, check that alarms are activated, windows and doors are closed and locked, electrical equipment is turned off, and that no unauthorized persons are present on the site/area. Surveillance is performed both indoors and outdoors, mostly at night, alone, and you work in shifts. The work is independent and mobile.
In stationary security, you work at the customer's location. This can involve anything from reception work to patrolling and staffing security centers. The primary activity at the location is stationary security.
Qualifications
In addition to the personal qualities we seek and describe in various assignments, you need to meet basic requirements to qualify for the position:
• Aged 18 before starting the assignment
• High school competence
• Good Swedish in speech and writing
• Driving license B
You also need to be non-criminal*, drug-free, have organized finances, and good health and physical condition to be employed at Avarn Security.
Security guard training is meritorious for these positions. Other meritorious qualifications include experience in the security industry, some technical knowledge, additional language skills beyond Swedish and English, and previous experience working in public environments.
If you have the right profile for Avarn and proceed in the process but do not already possess the prescribed training (VU1, VU2), we will cover your education! Security guard training (VU1, 9 days) is conducted at BYA Security Industry Occupational and Work Environment Committee. Participation in this is a prerequisite for employment.
