Our customer places great trust in us, and your work as a security guard is important. With each work shift, you contribute to creating safety and security for the customer and society at large, as your work provides preventive protection against crime, improved fire safety, and much more. You will meet all of society's inhabitants, so it is crucial that you are clear, calm, and able to make well-considered decisions.
Here are some of the most common tasks:
A patrol guard works with preventive security. You are vehicle-based and visit customers in your district/area to, among other things, check that alarms are activated, windows and doors are closed and locked, electrical equipment is turned off, and that no unauthorized persons are on the property/area. Supervision is carried out both indoors and outdoors, mostly at night, alone, and you work in shifts. The work is independent and mobile.
In stationary security, you work at the customer's site. This can involve anything from reception work to patrolling and staffing security centers. The primary activity at the location is stationary security.
Qualifications
In addition to the personal qualities we seek and describe in various assignments, you need to meet the basic requirements to qualify for the position:
• Be 18 years old before starting the assignment
• High school competence
• Good Swedish in speech and writing
• Driving license B
You also need to be crime-free*, drug-free, have an organized economy, and be in good health and physical condition to be employed at Avarn Security.
Security guard training is meritorious for these positions. Other meritorious qualifications include experience in the security industry, some technical knowledge, additional language skills beyond Swedish and English, and previous experience working in public environments.
If you have the right profile for Avarn and proceed in the process but do not already have the prescribed training (VU1, VU2), we will cover your education! Security guard training (VU1, 9 days) is conducted by BYA Security Industry Occupational and Work Environment Committee. Participation in this is a prerequisite for employment.
