About this role
Security guards work with the surveillance of critical infrastructure, where the demand for security is at its highest. As a security guard, one can either be trained as a guard with a shortened security guard training or have completed a longer basic training as a security guard. Military basic training and military security guard training from 2016 onwards are also acceptable qualifications.
We have high expectations for our security guards regarding personal qualities, experience in a public environment, and legal knowledge.

We are looking for dog owners who are interested in working as security guards alongside their dogs and developing within our canine operations as an EDD team. The EDD team consists of a dog handler and two trained explosive detection dogs (EDD). The dogs will accompany you both as colleagues at work and as family members at home. Do you already have a dog that you believe would be suitable as an explosive detection dog? Our dog instructors have extensive experience with dogs and will assess whether your dog is suitable for work in the EDD team.
Teamwork, training, and exercises are a significant part of the job in addition to the regular assignments. We will work together in teams and collaborate with authorities, clients, and other stakeholders. Our mission is to enhance the protection of our client, where all security guards working on the site must undergo a HAS, a training in Handling of Firearms.
You need to have good collaboration skills and the ability to make sound decisions independently. Being communicative and having good physical fitness are essential to thrive in this role. If you are a social, empathetic, and positive person with inner confidence and a natural drive to help, you may be the one we are looking for.
**Requirements for this position:**
• No criminal record
• Drug-free
• High school diploma
• Proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written
• Financially stable
• Valid driver's license (Category B)
• At least 18 years old
It is particularly advantageous if you already have one or more of the industry-specific training courses required to work here. You will have the opportunity to indicate the training you have in the selection questions. If you do not have any of the required industry training, we will provide the training.
Avarn Security offers a salary according to the collective agreement between Security Companies and the Swedish Transport Workers' Union. Since Avarn Security is a security-classified company, a security screening with a background check will be conducted in accordance with the Security Protection Act.
