Automation Technician Wanted for Southern Norway

We are now seeking a senior automation technician with extensive experience in industrial automation. You will be an important part of a technically strong team in an international corporation that supplies components to the automotive industry worldwide. Here, you will find a stable employer, challenging technology, a good working environment, and great opportunities for development. **Job Responsibilities:** - Troubleshooting, improvement, and maintenance of automated production lines - PLC programming and adjustments - Working with both newer and older control systems - Robot programming and optimization - Maintenance and operation of CNC machines - Shift work and some weekend on-call duty as needed You will work closely with mechanics, technicians, and production teams and play a crucial role in ensuring stable operations and high availability. **Technologies you will work with:** PLC control systems: - Siemens TIA (newer cells) - Mitsubishi (older facilities) Robots: - Fanuc - ABB CNC machines: - Okuma - Chiron - SW - Makino - Grob **We are looking for someone who has:** - At least 5 years of experience, preferably 10+ years, in automation - Strong troubleshooting skills and knowledge of control systems - Experience with robots and CNC machines - Ability to work shifts: 06:00–14:00 (day), 14:00–22:00 (evening, approximately every 4–5 weeks) - Willingness to participate in voluntary weekend on-call duty - Good collaboration skills and a desire for long-term commitment - A valid driver's license (Category B) **Working Hours and Conditions:** - Shift work according to schedule - Opportunity for weekend on-call duty (compensation provided) - Permanent employment with our client after the initial period - WorkNorway will assist with housing during the start-up - Long-term establishment in Norway is the goal We offer a competitive salary, assistance with housing, and support during your establishment in Norway. **Work Location:** Hvittingfoss, Norway, south of Oslo **Start Date:** Immediately, or as agreed We are interviewing and hiring continuously for this position.
